Front of House Volunteers
Assist with the day-to-day running of the Heritage Centre, welcoming visitors, explaining what there is to see and processing shop sales and tickets. You will need a friendly and engaging personality and to be reasonably fit and active. Prior knowledge of till systems and card machines is advantageous. In particular we are looking for volunteers willing to work on a Saturday from 1pm-4pm. Full training will be provided.
Air Transport Auxiliary Gallery Stewards / Spitfire Simulator Instructors
If you have an interest in aviation and a willingness to engage with visitors and learn how to operate our Spitfire Simulator, why not apply to be one of our enthusiastic ATA stewards? Unlimited simulator flights are just one of the perks! In particular we are looking for volunteers willing to work on a Thursday afternoon from 1pm-4pm and a Saturday morning from 10am-1pm.
Secretary to the Trustees
Our Board of Trustees meet every 6-8 weeks and are looking for somebody to circulate agendas and take minutes. This role might suit somebody who has recently retired from an administration job.
Facilities Management Volunteer
We are looking for someone to manage the maintenance of our premises, arranging for routine servicing and other necessary tasks to be carried out. If you have the practical skills it takes to do this role, we would like to hear from you.
Volunteer Coordinator
We are looking for a coordinator to manage our front of house volunteers and their rota and also to help train new recruits. Good people skills and patience are essential.
Family Events Volunteers
We would love to hear from volunteers who would like to help with the delivery of family activities in half-terms and the school holidays, ie craft days or story telling. You need to enjoy working with young people! Experience working in a family friendly environment would be useful.
Human Resources, Training and Personnel Development
